Communicating with publishers is arguably one of the most challenging aspects of building a scalable affiliate program.
Nailing this process could be what turns a decent affiliate program into a thriving one.
That is why we introduced the new chat platform that is bound to make cooperation between publishers and advertisers more effective and help solve problems faster and better.
After testing the new chat platform for some time, we’re happy to announce that advertisers who were active enough and used the chat regularly, were able to attract dozens of new publishers to their affiliate programs.
In other words, to be successful with the new chat platform, advertisers have to be responsive to publishers’ requests, thus increasing the publishers’ loyalty and thereby improving lead quality.
Furthermore, in a number of cases, the chat has helped to find out why there was a change in user traffic (both increase and drop) and make adjustments by agreeing with responsible publishers that they would amp up their marketing promotional activities.
The chat platform is a convenient communication tool for advertisers and publishers that allows them to build closer relationships.
Whether it’s to update publishers on key changes to the program, or to discuss new opportunities, the chat platform is here to help build publisher relationships within the affiliate channel.
Now let’s delve deeper into the features of the chat platform:
Getting Started With the Chat Platform As a Publisher
While publishers can’t initiate chat with advertisers, they still can benefit from using it.
When an advertiser starts a chat, publishers should take an opportunity to establish partnerships with that advertiser by inquiring about matters they’re interested in.
There is a catch, however, if you’re a publisher and don’t want to miss an opportunity to get in touch with your favorite advertiser, do your best to promptly reply to them.
In other words, the quicker you respond the higher your chances of getting what you need.
Getting Started With the Chat Platform As an Advertiser
Use chat features to communicate directly with publishers and resolve important issues faster. The chat can help you with the following:
- Send invitations to publishers to join your program;
- Promptly respond to publishers’ messages;
- Helps stay on top of things when it comes to controlling publisher traffic;
- Enables you to stay in touch with publishers you’re already collaborating with.
Features of chat communication with publishers
There are several entry points you can take to open the chat. Below you can find some of them:
- In the header of your personal account;
- By clicking the “Statistics for publishers” tab;
- By clicking the “My Publishers” tab;
- By clicking the “Publishers Invitations” tab.
Tracking Activity
The header of your personal account is the right place for tracking activity in already-created chats.
This is where you can evaluate how active your publishers are and provide prompt responses to each and every one of them.
Keep in mind that if you want to be successful in attracting and retaining publishers, you need to quickly reply to their messages.
Defeat Operational Challenges
When it comes to problem-solving and operational issues, the “Statistics for Publishers” tab is a place to go.
This is where advertisers can inquire why a particular publisher experiences a decline in traffic by asking them directly.
In addition, if you need chat history, it is also readily available in the same chat window.
Navigating the Existing Publishers
The “My Publishers” tab is used when an advertiser needs to address a publisher who has already joined their affiliate program.
Also, if you need to find a specific publisher or group of publishers (by type of traffic, for example) among those you already work with, then the most convenient way to do this is by clicking the “Publishers” → “My Publishers” tab.
Inviting the New Publishers
It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or already attracted an impressive pool of publishers, there is always room for improvement.
Inviting new publishers is easier than you think. If you want to invite new publishers to collaborate with, the “Invitation History” tab (“Publishers” → “Publisher Invitations” → “Invitation History”) is exactly what you need.
Start from here if you want more new publishers.
After clicking, you can expect to find the new chat window you can use for continuing to communicate and collaborate with the selected publisher.
