The idea behind this event is to provide ideal conditions for the integration of international e-commerce environment, identification of appropriate business partners and the exchange of experiences. Herewith, the agenda of E-Commerce Berlin Expo 2017 was packed with multiple hot topics. Our special focus was given to a panel, devoted to entering the Chinese and Russian markets.
China is the biggest e-commerce market in the world and should not be ignored by any company or brand. Despite the massive growth of e-commerce in China, the market can still be quite challenging to break into successfully.
With over 70 million people using the internet monthly, Russia has the largest online audience in Europe. In this context it was rewarding to discuss how widely e-Commerce is used, the primary sectors that sell through e-commerce, and how much product/service in each sector is sold through e-commerce versus brick-and-mortar retail.
The experts and speakers from Schneider Group, Yandex Europe and Lengow are concentrated on the new market challenges and the expansion strategies within the Chinese and Russian markets, including what a company needs to know to take advantage of e-commerce in the local market to stay reputable, prominent and at the cutting edge of the e-commerce sector. To be more precise, there were touched upon the following topics:
- Trends and digital advertising opportunities in Russia (reported by Yandex )
- Cross Border Ecommerce: Making the Most of China’s Potential (reported by Lengow)
- Easy entry into the Russian e-commerce market (reported by Schneider Group)
To sum it up, during the event, we could spot and discuss the latest market developments, best e-commerce tools and the latest trends. We could definitely feel the pulse of the Internet market and the community in there. We are definitely going back!
