BLACK FRIDAY LIVE: Real time Broadcast of Sales Dynamics by Admitad
The 23rd of November, 2018 got highlighted by the most important sale of the year – Black Friday! And Admitad, being a partner of the key e-commerce retailers, could not stay aside from such an important event: this year the company continued traditional monitoring of sales dynamics on Black Friday and launched special landing page blackfriday.admitad.com, which displays real-time statistics of sales by segment, category, purchase platform, and other key indicators compared to the data of 2016 and 2017.
The monitoring period was open one day prior to the official sale launch (Admitad started uploading the data on the website on 22.11 at 00.00 (GMT) and will last three days after the event up to 26.11 inclusive. At the end of this period, Admitad experts will sum up Black Friday 2018 results, present the most interesting observations and trends of the year and prepare a comparative analysis of data comparing the statistics of the past three years.
Just before the Black Friday sale was open, Admitad had conducted a survey among its advertisers and got acquainted with their main predictions and forecasts for the grand sale this year. Most of the partners rightly assumed, that the average check would not change, and perhaps would even decrease due to all these “crazy” discounts. Quite obvious were the expectations of greater customer engagement and the emphasis on the purchases of electronics &”gadgets”, home appliances, and clothes. The major sources of traffic increase in the sales period, as usual, include websites with promo codes and coupons as well as cashback services. What concerns “luring in” new customers, this factor mostly depends on the sphere and scale of the brand.
“Based on my experience, the influx of new customers might be expected by small online stores that are willing to give big discounts. For big brand companies like “M-Video”, this is, first of all, just additional sales made by regular customers,” commented Kirill Petrov (Head of CPA, iProspect)
“Black Friday” is becoming more and more popular each year. Taking into account the comprehensive preparation for the sale of publishers and advertisers, the number of orders from the latter, as of Admitad forecast, will increase by at least 2 times in 2018.
Stay tuned and follow the statistics on blackfriday.admitad.com!
